As I’ve said, I love the Bioman Interactives. Snurfles have a great meiosis interactive that includes genetics. It really makes a good connection between genetics and Punnett squares and meiosis. I also like the Chromosome Quandary section, which goes through the whole idea of a chromosome and all the things we call a chromosome. I have this worksheet that I use to cover genetics and Punnett squares and tie everything together. It is a little long because it includes the questions from the quiz. I’ve used this worksheet at the end of meiosis and the beginning of genetics before. This year, I didn’t get through genetics before the semester ended. I’m using it as a review of meiosis and basic genetics when we get back and get back into the swing of things.
I do recommend going through the interactive yourself before you assign this, just so you can help your students through it.
