I created the speed and acceleration triangles as notes. Most of them have used a triangle like this for visualizing how to rearrange formulas, but since it was the beginning of the year, it had been a while. This gave us space to take notes on what the variables meant, how to use the triangle and rearrange the variables to solve for what they needed. It was a great introduction back into formulas.
For us, Unit 5 covered Energy, Work, and Power. I created a formula sheet that also includes putting the main equations into triangles. It isn’t quite how you would normally use the triangle, but I have quite a few students that struggle with Algebra and this visual representation really helps them work out how to rearrange equations. We talk about it how you would rearrange equations, but when they are working on their own, something to help them visualize what to do has proved helpful.
